Senior Web & Mobile Software Developer
Full Time, Contract
At FanSaves, we have a work hard, play hard culture and we’re hiring a Senior Web & Mobile Software Developer to join our remote team. We are a fast growing tech startup, scaling across North America and we are looking for someone who can help take out product to the next level.
This is a remote, contract position in Canada.
The Senior Web & Mobile Software Developer will work with our Product Manager and UI/UX designer to improve and grow our existing FanSaves platforms and to build new features into our software that will directly help us scale our product.
What you'll be doing:
-
Developing and maintaining the FanSaves Web Application
-
Developing and maintaining the FanSaves Mobile Application
-
Participating in Product Management to decide what to build and when to build it
-
Participating in and improving our development process (talking to stakeholders, shaping features, working with UI/UX designers, implementing features, improving dev ops)
-
Mentoring Junior developers
-
Defining and growing the Development team
It would be nice if:

You have experience in Firebase (Realtime DB, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting)
-
You have experience in Front-end web languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
-
You have experience in React
-
You have experience in React Native
-
You have experience in a Server-side web language (Node.js)
-
You have experience in NoSQL Databases
-
You have experience in Git
It would be even sweeter if:

You have experience with GitHub

You have experience in Trello
-
You have experience working in a Scrum-like Agile process
It would blow us away if:

You have experience working in a small startup or dev team, or started your own business or product idea

You are a sports & entertainment enthusiast with a desire to learn more about the industry

Post-secondary graduate in the field of software development

3+ years in the software development field, with experience in a mid-level or senior role

UI/UX Designer
Full Time, Contract

This is a remote position in Canada.
The UI/UX Designer will work with our Product Manager and Senior Web & Mobile Software Developer to improve and grow our existing FanSaves platforms and to build new features into our software that will directly help us scale our product.
What you’ll be doing:

Designing User experiences for our Web and Mobile applications that drive engagement and excitement. This includes
-
Working with Product Management to define goals and features
-
Producing wireframes
-

Giving our Web and Mobile Applications that final polish that excites our users, and our team. This includes
-
Designing UI Kits
-
Producing High Fidelity Designs
-
Designing New Pages, Screens, and Features
-
Redesigning existing Pages, Screens, and Features
-
-
Working with Developers to understand the complexity of your designs and their level of effort to implement them
-
Working with stakeholders to understand their needs, their design language, and their constraints
-
In some cases, working within frameworks, pre-designed kits, tools
-
Helping develop a design process that works within a Scrum-like Agile Process and incorporating philosophies like MVP and iterative development based on feedback
-
Advising our team on best practices in UI design
What you should know:
-
It would be nice if you came to the table with some experience in some design software. Examples include Adobe XD, InVision, Sketch, Figma, and more.
-
It would be nice if you came to the table with knowledge of UX design including user research, personas, user journeys, wireframes, etc.
-
It would be nice if you came to the table with knowledge of UI design including the design language of screens, pages, text fields, buttons, etc.
What you DON’T need to know:
-
Code. We won’t hold it against you if you do know it, but if you’re a killer designer who doesn’t know code - no problem.
Ideal Candidate:

Post-secondary graduate in the field of UI/UX Design

2+ years in the UI/UX Design field

Self-motivated, confident, energetic, creative, willing to lead
