Digital Marketing Specialist

At FanSaves, we have a work hard, play hard culture and we’re looking to hire someone who can help us as we scale. This is a remote position.
 

The Digital Marketing Specialist will drive more eyes to the FanSaves brand to increase the number of app downloads and website visitors while coordinating efforts to implement new online strategies, including email marketing campaigns, ASO and SEO. They will help coordinate website optimization, social media platforms, and create visual and audio content while aiding in executing strategies as we scale FanSaves into bigger markets, including major league sports teams across North America.
 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Coordinate and execute digital marketing campaigns for the FanSaves brand including running Google AdWords campaigns.

  • Responsible for implementing and executing email campaigns including: design & setup, coordination of content, planning calendar, tracking and list selection for optimal conversions.

  • Ongoing, real-time optimization of digital campaigns; optimize for conversions and engagement.

  • Coordinate content dispersal for various mediums including: blogs, email marketing campaigns, social marketing campaigns, online advertising, and public relations.

  • Create digitally engaging content including effective video posts and social media posts.

  • Work alongside Marketing Coordinator and Account Managers to coordinate promotions for organizations.

  • Track and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, identify drivers and make recommendations for improvement.
     

Knowledge and Skills Required:
 

  • Post-Secondary Education; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in Digital Marketing or Communications.

  • Experience running email marketing campaigns in MailChimp or Constant Contact.

  • Basic to advanced understanding of Google AdWords.

  • An innovator who has a Startup mindset and is always willing to learn and grow.

  • Graphic design skills preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experienced at using social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) for corporate marketing with a desire to build brand awareness and a strong social following.

  • An exceptional grasp of the English language is required, including strong written and verbal skills. Must be a great communicator, both in-person and online.

  • Strong communication skills and initiative to create new and engaging campaigns.

  • Data-driven mindset and attention to detail

  • A passion for sports and knowledge of the sports industry is beneficial.

 

 

This is a government funded Youth Employment Position and the following criteria must be met:
 

  • Post-secondary graduate

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age

  • A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

 

Hours & Compensation:
 

  • Start Date: May 17th, 2021

  • Hours: 35 hours/week

  • Wage: $17/hour

Sports Market Research Analyst

We are looking to hire a Sports Market Research Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will bring your intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, and storytelling ability to support research initiatives that help answer important strategic questions around content and marketing within the sports, entertainment and media industry that will help FanSaves gain a better understanding of our market.

If you're passionate about qualitative and quantitative research; if you possess a natural ability to visualize data and bring it to life through storytelling; if you geek out on sports – this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on sports market research studies including but not limited to: concept evaluation, brand studies, messaging/positioning evaluation, creative material tests, market sizing and segmentation, and trackers.

  • Support on all steps of a project including but not limited to: research design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, report writing and presentation.

  • Translate research data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative and story-driven reports, ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality deliverables.

  • Stay up-to-date on sports, sports tech, media, research and digital trends.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Post-Secondary Education; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred with a strong academic record, and with a focus in a business or social science field, or one with an emphasis on statistics or quantitative research methodologies.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Consumer Research (ideally with a sports focus).

  • Experience of qualitative techniques and approaches across audiences and platforms (online and in-person).

  • Some experience with the following data analysis techniques: statistical significance testing, correlations analysis, multivariate analysis techniques (such as cluster/segmentation analysis) and conjoint and discrete choice analysis. Ability to apply techniques a plus, but not required.

  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, written and visual communication skills. Ideally, experience with other platforms such as Google Docs, Slides, Keynote, etc.

  • Excellent oral communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously and effectively within a team and across teams.

  • A passion for sports and knowledge of the sports industry is beneficial.
